Job summary

Synechron is seeking a hands-on Senior Solution Engineer with strong CI/CD and DevOps automation expertise. You will support migration to GitHub Actions, troubleshoot pipeline issues, and craft end‑to‑end CI/CD workflows across diverse code bases in a global consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT-equivalent is required.
• Hands-on experience building and debugging CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience creating and debugging pipeline stages across diverse tech stacks.
• Strong understanding of build systems (Maven, NPM, PyPi, .NET, MSBuild).
• Ability to author POM and Settings files from scratch.
• Proficiency with GitHub Actions workflows, runners, and execution.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitOps, Artifactory and SonarQube.
• Familiarity with Terraform and Ansible for automation and deployment.
• Docker and containerization expertise with Dockerfiles and commands.

We are looking for a hands‑on Senior Solution Engineer with strong CI/CD, pipeline troubleshooting, and DevOps automation expertise. The ideal candidate is experienced with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes, and can confidently support migration and integration initiatives. You are a problem solver, strong communicator, and trusted technical partner for application teams.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Halifax, ON is CAD $90K - CAD $105K/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Support app teams to migrate from Jenkins, RLM or manual deployment to GitHub Actions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve DevOps‑related issues.
• Create and debug CI/CD pipeline stages and workflows.
• Implement automation/configurations for successful integration.
• Write POM and Settings from scratch and work with various code bases.
• Set up GitHub Actions workflows, execution, and runners.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Diploma in IT with equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience creating and debugging pipeline stages.
• Strong understanding of build systems and project types (Maven, NPM, PyPi, .NET, MSBuild).
• Ability to write POM and Settings files from scratch.
• GitHub Actions workflows, execution, and runners.
• Experience with tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitOps, Artifactory, SonarQube, Terraform, UCD, Ansible.
• Troubleshooting Jenkins failures and configuration issues.
• SonarQube configuration and usage.
• CD tools like Terraform, UCD.
• Ansible for configuration and deployment.
• Docker and containerization (Dockerfiles, commands).

Preferred skills:

• CI/CD experience with NPM or NuGet
• Agile tools (JIRA, ServiceNow)
• Scripting experience (Groovy, Shell, Python)
