Description

Project: This role will support the enterprise data warehouse production system for all enterprise applications, reporting, and analytics. They also have a new Data Science production environment on AWS, the DevOps are supporting the production side of things while also supporting the Data Science platforms.

What you'll do:

- Support the development team on operational aspects of the data pipeline.

- Ensure security and promote secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and secure data solutions.

- Utilize AWS services (S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, Data Backup, AWS Backup) to manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure.

- Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.

- Work with Databricks and Snowflake to manage and analyze large datasets.

- Contribute to our Agile/Scrum processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

- Engage in creative problem-solving to address complex data challenges.

Candidate Must-Have Skills:

- 5 to 8 years of experience in a software engineering team AND in a DevOps role.

- 2-5 years of experience in an AWS cloud environment, with in-depth knowledge of S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, Data Backup, and AWS Backup.

- Excellent hands-on experience with CI/CD, can be with Terraform or GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins - Partitioning and building pipelines

- Proficiency in Python, does not need to build code (strong asset if they are able to)

- Strong Networking, VPCs, Load Balancers, Firewalls

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $7500.00 - $8500.00/hr.
