Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our organization’s infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will work closely with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline and automate processes, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure and deployment pipelines using industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for multiple projects.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and optimal performance of production environments.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and logging systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
• Work closely with development teams to optimise application architecture for scalability, performance, and security.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to DevOps and cloud infrastructure, and evaluate their potential impact on our systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the DevOps team, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during critical incidents or emergencies.
• Continuously improve processes and tools through automation and innovation to drive operational efficiency.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with at least 8 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and administration.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  
  

Nice-to-have

• Professional certifications related to DevOps, cloud platforms, or relevant technologies.
• Experience with serverless computing and related services (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
• Familiarity with security best practices and the ability to implement secure infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teams.
• Knowledge on C++/C or any low level programming language.
