Overview

The Java Developer (Low Latency) will be responsible for the ecosystem of the bond’s algorithm trading. He will act as a liaison with the business units and will provide technical direction and participate in the development of the software ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the definition of the algorithm’s needs and priorities for the bonds trading team
• Develop and maintain software in the bonds algorithm’s trading ecosystem
• Guide and coach the development team
• Ensure technology watch and participate in the alignment with the enterprise and systems architecture
• Promote best practices in software development throughout the IT team
• Act as a bridge between the delivery team and business units

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Java developer in a low latency and real time environment
• 3+ years of experience as a bond algorithm trading developer
• Strong knowledge of capital markets, including trading and pre-trading systems
• Experience in a DevOps and CI / CD environment
• Knowledge of IntelliJ, Solace bus, ION bus and KDB
• BAC in computer science or the equivalent
• Bilingualism (English required, French functional)
