Development Project Manager

Salary: $90k - $135k + bonus

Our client, a reputable consulting firm, is looking for a skilled Development Project Manager to manage the early stages of buildings projects, and to coordinate and execute them through the development, legal, administrative, financial and early delivery stages. This firm is small but well established and has a strong reputation in the industry.

THE ROLE
In this role as a Development Project Manager, at either an intermediate or senior level, you will oversee the management of institutional investors, the legal arm, lending arm, and coordination between various vendors, prior to the design development stages of a project. If your prior experience pertains to subsequent stages of project delivery within the design realm, then additional phases would be encompassed in the role. This is a unique role with a very reputable firm and would be a great fit for Project Managers with backgrounds in either architecture, real estate development, government or other industries, and where there is a focused experience on client and stakeholder liaison from an owners representative side and with various entities prior to construction phases.

WHAT'S REQUIRED

• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in the North American development, property or architecture industry with at least 5 years of experience in project management
• Experience liaising with jurisdictions and working through legal and financial processes of construction projects, pre design stage
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to multi-task and work with the files for multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience working with project financials preferred
• Knowledge or architecture and construction practices and industry standards in Canada preferred
• Quick learner, able to problem solve effectively
