THE ROLE:
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
Serve as the main point of contact for new well and asset development activities, including alignment of stakeholder groups, consolidating discipline planning, and stewarding the economic analysis and approval process from idea generation through on-stream
Act as a project manager on engineering projects and initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders and engineers on project design/scope and managing assigned deliverables, timelines, resources and related budgets
Conduct technical research by gathering data/information, conducting surveys, developing data models, providing data analysis and interpretation of results
Identify opportunities for improvement to support area engineering activities and initiatives by researching industry best practices and emerging trends
Develop relationships with external professional associations and industry colleagues to share information and stay up to-date on best/emerging practices and trends impacting activities
Identify new resource opportunities to meet corporate objectives, evaluate new/emerging exploration/exploitation prospects, reviewing reservoir studies, economic evaluations and provide recommendations to senior staff to influence long/short term strategic and budget planning activities
Work with a multi-disciplined team to identify and evaluate development trials and optimization opportunities to maximize the value of assets
Provide support to the petroleum engineering team in booking corporate reserves and working with third party evaluators to ensure comprehensive assessments and interpretations are completed
Prepare capital and production forecasts, explaining variances, and review AFE/project expenditures within budget
WHAT YOU BRING:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
Minimum 5+ years of experience in an Engineering role or in an engineering project management role supporting a development discipline (Drilling/Completions/Production/Facilities)
Proven work experience within unconventional resources with a thorough understanding of all aspects involved in managing a resource area
Strong working knowledge and proficiency in Val Nav, GeoScout, Generwell, and the Office365 suite
Working knowledge and experience in production decline analysis for unconventional reservoirs is an asset
Experience in production and/or reservoir engineering will be considered a benefit
Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal and communications skills
Ability to work as part of cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Demonstrated ability to effectively engage others in support of projects and initiatives
