Job summary

Jobtailor in Toronto, Canada is seeking a mid-level development assistant to support film and TV projects. You will track progress, schedule meetings, and help create pitch documents while maintaining project spreadsheets and coordinating with writers and other departments.

Job description

• Tracking development progress
• Prepping for and scheduling team meetings
• Assist in creating pitch documents such as outlines and decks
• Maintain department spreadsheet with active projects and priorities, oversee unsolicited pitches
• Assist EP with research and meetings with writers in active development
• Coordinate with C3 and Cineflix personnel
• Prepare paperwork for various accounting
• Provide research on new and developing stories, sourcing content and IP including reading scripts or books and provide coverage/analysis; Source IP, and film/tv rights, establishing relationships with publishers and lit agents and conduct interviews and maintain relationships with sources for new stories when needed.
