Completion of two or more Fundamentals of Fundraising courses (Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) or other accredited post-secondary institution) preferred.

Minimum two years’ experience supporting the fundraising function, including using Raiser’s Edge and Raiser’s Edge NXT relationship management software (including gift management and Blackbaud Merchant Services features), preferably in a non-profit or post-secondary setting.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the fundraising cycle and fundraising initiatives, along with experience in basic donor research and donor stewardship.
Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service, and to work effectively with internal team members, volunteers and external interest holders (donors and prospects, and the general public).

Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgement, tact and discretion with all sensitive and confidential information.

Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to draft professional documents, proposals and reports, and respond to written inquiries.

Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

Experience supporting financial processes, including invoice processing and expense reconciliation.

Ability to work simultaneously on a variety of complex projects; determine priorities and balance workflow, balance changing workload expectations and frequent interruptions.

  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and online content management systems.
Must be able to arrange and attend donor recognition and stewardship activities, including transporting any necessary materials to these meetings. Access to reliable transportation is required to fulfill these responsibilities.
