Job summary

Canaccord Genuity Corp. in Vancouver is seeking a BI Developer to join our Business Intelligence team.

You will analyze, design, develop, and support BI applications using Microsoft BI tools to drive planning, management, and measurement of the business. Responsibilities include maintaining BI production environments, answering inquiries on SSRS and Power BI models, troubleshooting reports and procedures, building SQL Server jobs, and delivering dynamic reports.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with Microsoft BI Platform (SQL Server, PowerBI, SSRS).
• Strong SQL/data manipulation and understanding of star schemas.
• Excellent knowledge of DAX.
• BI development experience with business systems analysis preferred.
• Experience in Azure environments (Lakehouse and Data Factory) is a strong asset.
• Strong documentation, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and support for BI production environments.
• Answer inquiries regarding business logic in SSRS reports and PowerBI models.
• Troubleshoot issues in reports, stored procedures, PowerBI models.
• Create/modify SQL Server jobs and other database objects.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence Team, this role will be responsible for the analysis, design, development and support of BI applications using Microsoft Business Intelligence tools.
