Job summary

Main Street Project provides Withdrawal Management Services at two Winnipeg locations, 75 Martha and 146 Magnus Avenue. The role supports detox, safety, and recovery planning with a client-centered approach, within a team framework and community partnerships.

As a Withdrawal Management Support Worker, you engage participants, coordinate intake, assist with care plans, and ensure documentation and resources are accurately maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience in human services with adults experiencing homelessness, mental health and substance use issues.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Search and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
• Current CPR, Basic First Aid, and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certifications.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Engage in intake coordination and review for incoming participants of MSP Withdrawal Management Program.
• Oversee intake including medical clearance reviews, intake forms, and medication confirmation.
• Medication administration, tracking, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with MSP Nurse Practitioner and internal resources for health scenarios.
• Build relationships through one-on-one check-ins and documentation for each participant.
• Support programming within the unit and participate in activities.
