Job summary

Grande Prairie Hyundai, part of AutoCanada, is seeking a Detailer to clean and detail vehicles to dealership standards. This role supports the service team by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following safety protocols while delivering high-quality service.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Competitive hourly pay and full-time hours offered.

Responsibilities

• Detail interior and exterior of vehicles to dealership standards.
• Perform general detailing: vacuuming, deodorizing, washing.
• Keep exterior clean and smudge-free; polish wheels and rims.
• Detail interiors, wipe dash, vacuum, and wash floor mats.
• Apply paint sealant and ensure overall cleanliness.
• Notify supervisor of parts needing repair or replacement.
• Complete quality control checklist and assist as needed.

Your area of focus.

The Service Department Detailer is responsible for cleaning and detailing vehicles to dealership standards, ensuring both the interior and exterior are in excellent condition for customer delivery. This role supports the service team by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following safety protocols while providing high-quality service.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Responsible for the detailing of interior and exterior of customer vehicles
• Perform general car detailing activities, including, vacuuming, deodorizing, and washing
• Ensure the exterior of cars are clean and smudge free
• Detailing interiors, wiping dash, vacuuming, and washing floor mats
• Apply paint sealant
• Clean and polish wheels and rims
• Use a variety of hand-held tools to detail the interior and exterior of cars
• Notify supervisor or appropriate technician when you notice parts of car that require repair or replacement
• Complete quality control checklist
• Perform other repair duties as required

What Are The Must-haves…

• High school diploma or GED
• Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
• Must be dependable, reliable, possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
• Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and using power tools and hand-held equipment
• Excellent customer service skills
• You must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Compensation

The expected range of compensation for this position is $19 – $25 Hourly — No bonus. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
