Job summary

ACX Dartmouth is seeking a Detailer to thoroughly clean and detail vehicles for customer delivery, both inside and out. You will support the service team by maintaining a tidy workspace and following safety protocols to deliver high-quality results.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid license with a clean record, and the ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles. Prior detailing experience is helpful; strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Able to drive automatic and manual transmissions.
• Experience with cleaning products and power washers is a plus.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Detailing and general shop cleaning experience.
• Attention to detail and reliability; ability to prioritize.
• Physical tasks include lifting, standing long periods, and using tools.

Responsibilities

• Detail interior and exterior of customer vehicles.
• Vacuum, deodorize, and wash interiors; clean floor mats.
• Ensure exteriors are clean and smudge-free.
• Apply paint sealant and polish wheels/rims.
• Use hand-held tools to detail interiors/exteriors.
• Notify supervisor of parts needing repair or replacement.
• Complete quality control checklist.
• Perform other repair duties as required.

Your area of focus.

The Detailer is responsible for cleaning and detailing vehicles to dealership standards, ensuring both the interior and exterior are in excellent condition for customer delivery. This role supports the service team by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following safety protocols while providing high-quality service.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Responsible for the detailing of interior and exterior of customer vehicles
• Perform general car detailing activities, including, vacuuming, deodorizing, and washing
• Ensure the exterior of cars are clean and smudge free
• Detailing interiors, wiping dash, vacuuming, and washing floor mats
• Apply paint sealant
• Clean and polish wheels and rims
• Use a variety of hand-held tools to detail the interior and exterior of cars
• Notify supervisor or appropriate technician when you notice parts of car that require repair or replacement
• Complete quality control checklist
• Perform other repair duties as required

What Are The Must-haves…

• Detailing, as well as general shop cleaning, parts receiving etc.
• High school diploma or GED
• Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
• Must be dependable, reliable, possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
• Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and using power tools and hand-held equipment
• Excellent customer service skills
• You must be legally authorized to work in Canada
