AutoCanada Inc. is hiring an Autobody Repair Technician for ACX Airdrie in Airdrie, Alberta. The role focuses on repairing and restoring vehicles damaged in collisions, including inspecting damage, replacing parts, and refinishing surfaces to factory standards.

You will review damage reports, estimate repair costs, and plan work, while performing high-quality repairs on a range of vehicles. A post-secondary program and/or apprenticeship are required, with I-CAR training considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Must have Apprentice or Red Seal status or working toward it.
• Completion of a related post-secondary program or training course.
• Knowledge of manufacturers' repair and refinishing processes and adherence to processes.
• Ability to use vendor materials efficiently and cost-effectively.
• I-CAR certification training is an asset.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history.

Responsabilités

• Repair and restore vehicles damaged in accidents or collisions.
• Inspect and evaluate damage, remove/replace damaged parts, repair dents, refinish surfaces.
• Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
• Review damage reports, prepare repair cost estimates, and plan work.
• Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Mask, prime, and paint body surfaces using tools like spray guns and sanders.
• Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy and paint quality.

Your area of focus.

The Autobody Repair Technician is responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles that have been damaged in accidents or collisions. This includes inspecting and evaluating damage, removing and replacing damaged parts, repairing dents, refinishing surfaces, and ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Review damage reports, prepare and review repair cost estimates and plan work to be performed
• Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
• Mask and tape, prime and paint body surfaces, using tools such as paint spray guns and motorized sanders
• Inspect repaired vehicles for proper completion of work, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance of paint job

What are the must-haves…

• Apprentice or Red Seal technician considered
• Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training course
• Knowledge of manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes & adherence to processes
• Ability to use selected vendor materials efficiently and cost-effectively
• I-CAR certification training and I-CAR certification would be considered assets
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history
