Job summary

OPENLANE is seeking a permanent full-time detailer to join our production team in Canada. You will complete OPENLANE's five-step reconditioning process on vehicles at our Vehicle Logistic Centers, performing interior detailing, cleaning, tar/decals removal, and staging as needed.

You will inspect quality, photograph or stage vehicles when required, keep the workspace safe and clean, operate equipment responsibly, and collaborate with teammates while following company safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School education (or equivalent) preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Satisfactory drivers' abstract & criminal record check required.
• Ability to drive a standard transmission preferred.
• Basic computer & smartphone skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for the auction by completing the reconditioning process per procedures and SLAs.
• Complete interior detailing stations and related tasks (vacuuming, shampooing, window cleaning, etc.).
• May be assigned to photograph or stage vehicles after detailing.
• Inspect quality of work before moving vehicles to the next stage.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Maintain equipment and report breakdowns or maintenance needs to management.
• Promote teamwork within the department and follow safety procedures.
• Follow reporting procedures for injuries or property loss/damage.

We're Looking For:

A permanent full time detailer to work as part of a production team. Detailers are responsible for completing OPENLANE's five-step reconditioning process on vehicles assigned through OPENLANE's Vehicle Logistic Centers.

You will:

• Prepare vehicles for the auction by completing the reconditioning process as per company procedures & customer service level agreements

• Complete a variety of vehicle detailing stations including interior detailing, upholstery cleaning, dressing vinyl, removing tar and decals, vacuuming and shampooing interior, window cleaning, pre-wash, buffer, and quality control.

• May be assigned to photograph/stage vehicles post-detail

• May be responsible to inspect the quality of work performed prior to moving vehicle to next stage of reconditioning process

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times

• Maintain good operating condition of equipment and facilities, advising management of equipment breakdowns or maintenance needs

• Practice and promote teamwork within the department

• Work within established company safety procedures and guidelines to ensure safety and security for employees and property

• Follow safe working procedures and reporting procedures for injuries, loss or damage of property

• Other duties as assigned
