Job summary

Dodge City in the AutoCanada network is hiring a detail associate to support transportation, vehicle reconditioning, and on-site maintenance. You’ll move vehicles, clean interiors and exteriors, and assist the Service and Sales teams to keep the lot organized and ready for customers.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions. Dependability and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Interest in automotive industry and knowledge about vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with cleaning products and tools (power washers is a plus).

Your area of focus.

In this position, you will be responsible for transporting customers as needed, cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles in inventory. Success in this role will require someone who has the physical capabilities to effectively maneuver around, under, and inside the vehicle to ensure a thorough and satisfactory detail has been completed.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
• Building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Service and Sales Department duties
• Daily Organization and parking of vehicles for saleand service department
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer
• Inspect vehicles for stains,debrisand damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damageimmediately
• Assistwith shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
• Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (i.e.snow removal)
• Identifyany lot merchandising needs or issues to theappropriate manager
• Placing signage in and on vehiclesfor advertising purposes
• Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process

What are the must-haves…

• Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset

Compensation

The expected range of compensation for this position is $18 – $20 Hourly — No bonus. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
