Job Overview

The Desktop Administrator II maintains and manages distributed desktop and laptop systems and software, including installation, configuration, preventive maintenance, operation, and problem resolution activities.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive team environment
• Support system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Assist users with questions and problems
• Perform system backups, recovery, and software installations
• Train employees and replace faulty hardware

Client Support

• Update work status proactively, liaise between US/India
• Recommend suitable products/services for clients
• Manage Microsoft Exchange mailboxes and Active Directory users
• Configure and troubleshoot server applications and hardware
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, print systems, and software deployment

Additional Tasks

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software
• Perform hardware repairs and system testing
• Assist with complex technical tasks and hardware coordination
• Maintain hardware inventory and system documentation
• Ensure compliance with licensing and security standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2-4 years relevant experience
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access; intermediate Excel, Outlook, internet research, system tools, scripting
• Valid driver’s license required; certifications in Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory preferred
