Job PurposeAs a Level 2 Apparel & Gear Designer at Mustang Survival, you will play a substantial and influential role in product creation for the brand. You will work collaboratively with the team to execute a range of products that fulfill seasonal line plans and response projects, driving the product development cycle from start to finish for your assigned projects. Additionally, you will contribute to shaping the overall category vision and product road map in cooperation with Design Leadership.
What We OfferWe estimate the salary range for this position to be between $70,000 and $90,000 annually. Responsibilities- Support Design and Product Leadership in establishing the category vision and product road map.
- Participate in creating seasonal direction and line plans.
- Execute assigned seasonal product designs that are thoroughly considered, tested, validated, highly resolved, and ready for commercialization.
- Contribute to creating toolbox solutions that elevate the product and brand, including features and constructions, solving design challenges of moderate to high difficulty.
- Create detailed and accurate tech packs and product specifications for products of moderate to high complexity.
- Collaborate with Product Developers and Sourcing to understand cost estimates, MOQ, and LOM considerations throughout the development cycle.
- Participate in creating and maintaining standards and guidelines, including fit, branding, construction, and tech packs.
- Engage in ideation for advanced concepts and materials development.
- Support Design Leadership in sourcing and developing seasonal materials, following through with the Materials Team.
- Stay informed about marketplace trends, relevant activities, and materials and technology to advance understanding.
- Inspire and support peers through passion, drive, attitude, and behaviors.
- Qualifications include a degree/diploma in Apparel or Industrial Design, 3-5 years of experience in apparel design and construction or equivalent, thorough understanding of technical garment/gear construction, intermediate experience with offshore LOMs, excellent communication and presentation skills, strong planning and problem-solving abilities, and a team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
