Qualifications

• Diplôme Technologique (3 ans) en technologie électrique et 6-8 ans d'expérience.
• Expérience de 3 ans avec SolidWorks et AutoCAD électrique.
• Connaissance des systèmes de gestion de la qualité ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Développer des conceptions électriques et des schémas complexes.
• Préparer la documentation de fabrication et les mises en plan finales.
• Évaluer et suggérer des améliorations de conception.

Job description

Reporting to the Manager, Design Office, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing design expertise in support of our sterilization brand. Working in a collaborative team environment, you will be using SolidWorks and SolidWorks 3D electrical CADD tools for the control and operation of material handling and process equipment for both new product designs and improvements to existing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop concepts, detailed electrical layout drawings, electrical schematics, and models of considerable complexity using specifications, calculations, and vendor data.
• Prepare final design layouts and manufacturing documentation.
• Ensure technical quality and accuracy of project work.
• Monitor adherence to approved standards, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare work estimates and participate in planning activities and progress meetings as required.
• Monitor design/drafting project hours with respect to overall objectives.
• Maintain liaison with engineering, purchasing, production, and other teams to ensure design work meets requirements.
• Evaluate and suggest improvements to product designs and design/drafting processes.
• Assist with prototyping and assembly activities and advise on corrective actions to resolve design problems.

Qualifications :

• Minimum Technologist Diploma (3 years) in electrical or other appropriate technology plus 6-8 years of directly related experience.
• Three (3) or more years experience in use of SolidWorks Electrical schematic and 3D computer-aided design tools.
• Three (3) or more years experience in use of AutoCAD Electrical as a 2D computer-aided design tool.
• Knowledge of Basic SQL programming would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of Autodesk Vault PDM and configuration management concepts.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Familiarity with CE mark requirements, Canadian Electrical Code, and UL standards.
• Knowledge of CSA, ANSI & IEC drawing standards.

Additional experience in any of the following areas would be considered valuable assets:

• SolidWorks systems administration (network licensing and application deployment).
• Product Data Management (PDM) systems expertise.
• Familiarity with Rockwell PowerFlex 525 and GuardLogix products.

Additional Requirements

Overtime and shift work as required.

Training Required : Must complete all required training and certification as a Nuclear Energy Worker.
