Job summary

Timber-Tech Truss is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design team across locations, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective engineered wood product (EWP) and truss design. You will collaborate with the General Manager to align priorities and drive centralized design functions, with occasional site visits and travel to Lethbridge.

You will mentor staff, standardize design practices, and manage priorities and budgets while optimizing processes and tools to improve efficiency

Qualifications

• Post-secondary engineering/tech degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years in truss or EWP design, with 3+ years in leadership.
• Proficiency in Mitek, AutoCAD, and building code knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor the design team to foster a high-performance culture.
• Ensure consistency of design standards across locations and designers.
• Drive standardization of templates, workflows, and design output.
