Job description

Opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to join a successful and established Newcastle based construction company. As a Registered Architect, this is your chance to lead a professional design team and manage early contract works across multiple projects.

About the role:

• Manage early contract works and design activities across multiple construction projects to ensure compliance with specifications, contracts, and applicable regulations
• Identify design project requirements, constraints and opportunities for improvement
• Lead resolution of design-related issues throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage a professional internal design team
• Work closely with project managers, architects and consultants to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective project delivery

To be successful, you will have:

• Registered Architect qualification
• Previous experience in design management within the construction industry
• Track record of successful delivery of multiple construction projects, ideally in the health, hospitality and education sectors
• Strong leadership skills, high level of communication, and stakeholder management skills
