Job Description

AirPro SAR Services, a joint venture between Airbus Defence and Space and PAL Aerospace, is seeking a Design Engineer to support our In-Service Support operations for Canada's FWSAR program. The role involves ensuring aircraft readiness, collaborating with OEM and maintenance teams, and focusing on Mechanical Systems, with opportunities to contribute to other engineering areas.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support engineering deliverables in collaboration with the Engineering Manager.
2. Ensure compliance with the Technical Airworthiness Manual (TAM) for Mechanical Support System activities.
3. Address airworthiness issues, develop inspections, and implement Service Bulletins for Mechanical Systems.
4. Coordinate engineering tasks within the Acceptable Technical Organization (ATO).
5. Participate in engineering and airworthiness meetings.
6. Support the Mechanical Systems Integrity Monitoring Program.
7. Provide troubleshooting support on-site and remotely.
8. Perform additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in aerospace engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently with a proactive approach.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Eligibility for security clearance.
• Willingness to travel within Canada and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the C-295 aircraft.
• Familiarity with DND programs and the DND Technical Airworthiness Manual.
• Experience in ATO or ADO environments.
• Knowledge of avionics, mission systems, electrical, powerplant, and structural repair concepts.
• Proficiency in additional languages such as French or Spanish is a plus.
