Your Role

1. Execute engineering design and drafting services for the Transportation, Bridges and Municipal group who provides services coast to coast to coast.
2. Provide technical assistance to project teams and complete related calculations.
3. Perform digital terrain modeling, volume calculations and preparation of profiles and sections using Autodesk Civil3D software.
4. Prepare project design/tender/construction drawing sets including surface models, site plans, cross-sections, profiles, drainage, paint markings, construction details, and material quantity takeoff.
5. Prepare report figures and drawings, surfaces, site plans, cross-sections, profiles, and material quantity calculations.
6. Prioritize work and ensure all processes and presentation follow company standards.
7. Work closely with other engineers, technologists, specialists and drafting personnel in a team environment to ensure all project deadlines and targets are met.
8. Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
9. Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
10. Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
11. Additional duties as required.

Qualifications

1. Education: Possession of a post-secondary certificate/diploma from a recognized technical school.
2. Experience: Looking for a new graduate or <2 years of hands-on experience in relevant Civil design.
3. Technical Proficiency: Solid knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
4. Design Excellence: A strong focus on drawing presentation and aesthetics is a valued asset.
5. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
6. Independence and Collaboration: Proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
7. Organizational Mastery: Excellent organizational skills, showcasing the ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines.
