Design Configuration Control Engineer

Your role within the team:
- Support the engineering change control process in a large multidisciplinary project.
- Ensure all design changes are properly documented, evaluated, and implemented for closure.
- Attend meetings as Secretary for design change control approvals.
- Use engineering tools consistently within the project.
- Create datasets for engineering integration, including Safety Analysis Data List and Unit Data List.
- Manage databases related to assumptions, risks, and actions.
- Develop and support engineering applications and maintain technical reference data.
- Prepare engineering reports and provide status updates.
- Assist with design requirements database (e.g., DOORS).
- Develop procedures and processes to align project work.
- Support technical integration and interface control within the project and with JV members.
- Collaborate across disciplines to integrate best practices.
- Support process improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate:
- Engineering degree in Process, Chemical, or Mechanical from an accredited university.
- Registered Professional Engineer in a Canadian province (asset).
- At least 5 years of design experience in core discipline.
- At least 3 years of nuclear industry experience with a focus on change control.
- Experience integrating engineering processes in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Knowledge of nuclear quality systems (CSA N286, N299) is an asset.
- High-level understanding of CANDU reactor systems and ability to support design integration.
- Strong engineering background supported by applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Multitasking skills in individual or team settings.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
