Summer students are given ownership of one or more real engineering projects that are important to Scout's growth. Each project begins with a clear charter defining its purpose, scope, deliverables, and timeline, while leaving room for the student to investigate the problem and develop solutions.
Projects are selected to provide meaningful exposure to the engineering process, from defining requirements and evaluating concepts through implementation, testing, and communicating results. We believe the best learning comes from working on real problems that matter, alongside experienced engineers who can provide guidance, mentorship, and perspective throughout the journey.
