Bridgemans is seeking a Marine Crane Operator – Derrick Barge in Kitimat, BC. The role is full-time, rotational and site-based, with an hourly rate of $60.00.

You will operate a 220-tonne crane on a derrick barge for marine demolition, perform rigging, and support the demolition of a marine terminal. Qualifications

• Experience operating hydraulic or mechanical cranes up to 300 tonnes.
• Experience operating cranes from floating platforms or derrick barges.
• Must hold BC crane operator certification (Mobile Crane Operator / Unlimited Tonnage) or equivalent.
• Rigging and signaling qualification appropriate to lifting operations.
• Able to meet site access, medical, and fitness-for-duty requirements and pass drug/alcohol clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 220-tonne crane on a derrick barge for marine demolition activities.
• Perform rigging and load-out of demolition arisings.
• Extract concrete, steel, sheet and timber piles with a vibratory hammer and cut pile caps up to 54 inches.
• Set up, break down, and reinstate crane and attachments as required by work sequence.
• Prepare lift plans by calculating crane capability and load weights.
