Bridgemans Kitimat Crew Management Ltd. in Kitimat, BC, seeks Line Handlers to support marine operations for industrial projects. You will assist in berthing and unberthing ships, secure mooring lines, and monitor deck safety to protect personnel and vessels.

Ideal candidates are physically capable, safety-focused, and adaptable to varying weather. On-the-job training may be provided. Both full-time and part-time roles are available; local applicants are preferred.

Formación

• Previous ship mooring operations or maritime experience preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols for maritime operations.
• Attention to detail for securing and maintaining mooring lines.
• Additional certificates or training in line handling or maritime safety may be required.
• MED-DVS / Radio Operator Certificate required or preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Eligible to work in Canada.

These roles are vital for the safe berthing and unberthing of ships, ensuring vessel and personnel safety. Ideal candidates are physically capable, safety-focused, and interested in working in a dynamic marine environment. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with preference for local applicants.

What You’ll Need

• Previous experience in ship mooring operations or maritime roles
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy mooring lines and working outdoors in varying weather
• Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for maritime operations
• Keen attention to detail for securing and maintaining mooring lines
• Additional certificates or training in line handling, maritime safety, or related areas may be required
• MED-DVS / Radio Operator Certificate
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Complete drug and alcohol testing if required
• Eligibility to work in Canada
