Job summary

SARCAN Recycling in La Ronge is seeking an Assistant Depot Supervisor to lead depot staff, oversee receiving and loading operations, and ensure safe, efficient daily activity. The role requires a Grade 12 diploma and at least three years related experience.

Qualifications

• Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to perform physical work.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Supervisory experience is an asset.
• Working knowledge of OH&S regulations in an industrial setting.
• Basic computer skills, including Word and Outlook.
• Professionalism and teamwork mindset.
• Flexibility to adapt priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work with persons of all abilities.
• Valid class 5 driver's license.
• Criminal record check required.

Responsibilities

• Direct staff in the receiving, preparation and loading on the depot floor.
• Ensure building and equipment upkeep and maintenance, including small repairs.
• Open/close the depot according to policies and procedures.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations, issue cheques, complete depot reports, and run bank errands.
• Operate the Point-of-Sale system and tills, prep containers for shipping and load product onto trailers.
• Participate in daily cleaning activities.
• Deal with escalated customer complaints and inquiries.
• Handle ongoing operational concerns in a timely manner.
• Assume Supervisor’s duties in their absence.
• Attend training and workshops as required.
• Perform other tasks as required.
• Becoming the biggest recycling expert among all of your family and friends.
