Job summary

Sporting Life Group Limited in Burlington, ON is seeking a Softgoods Department Sales Manager to lead our apparel team, deliver exceptional service, and help customers find clothing and accessories for their lifestyle.

You will coach your Assistant Manager, manage scheduling, inventory, merchandising, and drive sales while upholding health and safety standards. 2–4 years retail leadership, passion for fashion, and strong communication are required.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on Duty, leading by example in daily operations, motivating the team, and ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Prioritize health and safety by identifying workplace hazards, providing training, and adhering to Occupational Health and Safety standards.
• Support recruitment, staff development, and performance appraisals to build a strong, high-performing team.

What You'll Do;

As a leader on our shop floor, you’ll combine your passion for fashion with operational expertise to create a standout retail experience. You’ll set the tone as a role model for outstanding customer service, fostering a fun, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.

While partnering with your Assistant Manager to achieve sales targets, manage team KPIs, and maximize profitability, you’ll coach your team to be product and trend experts, ensuring they’re equipped to guide customers to their perfect fit. You’ll manage scheduling, inventory, and merchandising to keep your department running smoothly and looking sharp.
