An established industry player is seeking an Assistant Teaching Professor in Behavioural Neuroscience to join their dynamic Department of Psychology. The Department of Psychology at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton invites applications for a 9-month appointment at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. The position is for an individual with expertise in behavioural neuroscience. The appointment will start August 1, 2025.
Qualifications: Applicants are expected to have a PhD in Psychology or be near completion.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach five undergraduate courses, including Drugs and Behaviour, Foundations for Biopsychology, Neuropsychology, Introduction to Statistics, Psychophysiology, and one additional course to be determined in consultation with the Chair. They will also supervise the research of at least two undergraduate students. This position is subject to budgetary approval.
Salary and Benefits: The salary range and fringe benefits are defined in the Association of University of New Brunswick Teachers (AUNBT) 2022-2025 Collective Agreement sections 35 and 36B.
About the Department and University: The Department of Psychology offers BA and BSc majors and honours programs in psychology, a BSc in biology-psychology, and PhD programs in Clinical Psychology (CPA accredited) and Experimental Psychology. UNB is the oldest English-language university in Canada, offering over 75 undergraduate and graduate programs. Located in Fredericton, known for its natural beauty, arts, festivals, and heritage, the university is situated on the traditional unceded and unsurrendered territory of Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) and other Indigenous peoples, with a rich history of treaties and ongoing relationships.
