Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance is seeking a Department Manager to oversee a busy store department and lead a team of staff. Your role includes planning, coordinating, and executing daily operations to meet department goals in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will manage budgets, purchases, inventories, and pricing while supporting training and development for team members. A high school diploma or college degree with management experience is preferred; eager learners are welcome to apply.

• Willingness to participate in training courses to develop skills.

What might a typical day look like?

As a department manager, you will have to :

• perform various management activities within your department;

• ensure the management of purchases, inventories, price lists, marketing, salary productivity according to established standards in order to ensure business readiness;
• apply and respect the budgets related to his department.
