The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with electronic medical records. The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth communication between patients and dental staff.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations using office software.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical records systems, such as Epic.
  • Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
  • Process payments and handle billing inquiries with professionalism.
  • Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow throughout the office.
  • Stay updated on dental terminology and office procedures to provide accurate information to patients.
