Job summary

Interlake Dental Centre in Selkirk, Manitoba, is hiring a Dental Hygienist to provide preventative hygiene services and patient education. The role emphasizes high standards of care, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, while building rapport with patients in a full-service practice.

The successful candidate will hold a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree, be registered in good standing, and maintain CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree is required.
• Current registration as a Dental Hygienist in good standing with the provincial regulatory body is required.
• Valid CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care
• Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening to patients
• Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
• Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behaviour
