What You'll Be Doing:

1. Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, including thorough teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing, with a gentle and effective approach.
2. Accurately record patient medical and dental history, and document all treatment provided.
3. Conduct thorough oral health assessments, including periodontal charting, and clearly explain oral hygiene techniques and recommendations to patients in an easy-to-understand manner.
4. Take high-quality digital dental X-rays as required for diagnostic purposes.
5. Collaborate seamlessly with our dentists and dental assistants to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care.
6. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in both the operatory and laboratory areas, adhering to all infection control protocols.
7. Accurately document patient treatment plans and progress notes.
8. Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

What You'll Bring to Our Practice:

• Registration in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO) is essential.
• A strong understanding of current dental hygiene procedures and the ability to effectively communicate treatment options to patients.
• Exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of patient care and record-keeping.
• Familiarity with dental office management software; experience with Tracker is a valuable asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with a natural ability to build rapport and trust with patients.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of care.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
