Overview

Working in a flexible mobile work style arrangement, Alberta Blue Cross has an opening for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, results-driven Dental Benefits Manager to support our private plan business.

This role is an expert resource showcasing Alberta Blue Cross’ expertise in dental benefits management, providing leadership in developing programs to manage benefits, and assisting in developing dental management strategies. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships with clients, develops rapport quickly, has a proven track record of insightful recommendations, and delivers excellent presentations.

What You Will Do

  • Advise and support internal and external stakeholders on issues related to dental benefits management, including support for presentations, meetings, and providing information to increase understanding of Alberta Blue Cross private plan dental products and programs.
  • Analyze dental benefit analytics to recommend plans to senior management and clients.
  • Monitor industry environment proactively to identify issues affecting Alberta Blue Cross’ dental strategies.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to ensure our dental benefit management capabilities are innovative, competitive, and sustainable.
  • Support our product team in developing health and dental products.
  • Research issues thoroughly and develop insightful, workable recommendations.
  • Contribute to maintaining and enhancing relationships with key stakeholders.

What You Will Have

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dental benefits management or the insurance industry; completed dental post-secondary education or equivalent knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and nomenclature.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Research skills in analyzing complex issues.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive customer relationships over time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing superior customer support.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
