Job summary

WestClair Dental in Toronto is seeking a Dental Assistant to prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists, and manage patient flow with a focus on comfort and safety. You will handle X-rays, infection control, chart updates, and education for patients.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high‑quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

Schedule

• Monday: 8:30am to 4:30pm
• Tuesday: 8:30am to 6:30pm
• Thursday: 8:30am to 6:30pm
• Friday: 8:30am to 4:30pm
• Saturday: 7:30am to 2:30pm

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $19-$25/hour depending on skills, experience, and location. Please note that this is a replacement job opening.

About You
