Job summary

Wellspring Dental in Deep River, Ontario is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to join our caring team. This replacement position offers a steady schedule: Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm, with alternating Friday 8:00am to 1:00pm, and a wage range of $22–$30 per hour depending on skills and location.

You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take X-rays, sterilize instruments, update charts, and help manage patient flow while upholding IPAC standards and patient

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.
