• Registration or certification with a provincial regulatory body is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments and maintain patient comfort.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Welcome and assist patients upon arrival, creating a warm first impression.
• Optimize the daily appointment schedule to maximize utilization.
• Manage recall system and maintain accurate patient records.

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Includes working one evening a week until 7:30 pm
• Fridays will be added late fall 2026

The wage for this DentalAssistantposition is$24.00 - $30.00/hourdepending on skills, experience, and location.

Compensation for this role is also flexible and will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.

Your Role:

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assistdentists and hygienists during treatments,maintainingpatient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images asrequired
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks

• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships whilemaintainingethical professional behaviour
• Welcome andassist patients upon arrival, creating a warm and positive first impression
• Optimize the daily appointment schedule to ensure fullutilization with minimal gaps
• Effectively manage the recall system andmaintainaccurate, up-to-date patient records
• Handle incoming patient calls and inquiries, including appointment scheduling, confirmations, changes, and cancellations

About You:

• Registered and/orCertified as aDental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or associationisrequired
• Previousdentalassistingexperience is preferred
