Responsibilities

• Assist dentist during dental procedures by handing instruments and materials.
• Assist with restorations, root canals, crowns, bridges, veneers, implants, Invisalign, fillings, extractions, and mouthguards.
• Placement and removal of rubber dams.
• Take x-rays of patients' teeth and expose diagnostic dental X-rays.
• Use suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures.
• Take preliminary impressions.
• Apply pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics.
• Question patients about medical history and record information for dentist's reference.
• Advise patients on dental care, oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
• Make patients of all ages feel comfortable before, during and after treatment

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experienced Dental Assistant, minimum of 2 years experience in a Canadian office
