Job summary

The Marshall Group in Toronto is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant for a three-day schedule (Tue, Wed, Thu) at the Danforth/Woodbine area. You will assist the dentist, sterilize instruments, take x-rays, and support patient care.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of experience and a good command of English. Compensation ranges from $25 to $28 per hour, based on experience and performance, with free parking available nearby.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist during procedures and hand instruments and materials
• Sterilize instruments between patients
• Assist with crowns, bridges, veneers, implants, Invisalign, whitening, fillings, extractions and mouthguards
• Place and remove rubber dams
• Take and expose dental diagnostic x-rays
• Use suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry
• Take preliminary impressions for study models
• Apply sealants and topical anesthetics
• Record medical history and relate it to dentist's reference
• Advise patients on dental care and plaque control
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

LOCATION:

HOURS:

• Tues , Wed (9:45-5/6)
• Thurs (9-7)

COMPENSATION:

• $25-$28 depending on experience and performance

JOB OVERVIEW:

• Assisting dentist during dental procedures that features handing instruments and other materials
• Sterilizing instruments
• Assisting dentist with crowns, bridges,porcelainveneers, dental implants, invisalign, teeth whitening, fillings,extractionsandmouthguards
• Placement and removal of rubber dams
• Taking x-rays of patients' teethand exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
