Job summary

Toothworks Pine Ridge Dental in Scarborough is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists, prepare treatment rooms, take X-rays, and maintain infection control.

You will update patient charts, assist with scheduling, and contribute to a welcoming, high-quality care experience. Registration with a Provincial regulatory body and prior dental assisting experience are preferred; new graduates considered with training.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with the provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

The wage for this DentalAssistantposition is$20- $25/hourdepending on skills, experience, and location.
