Deep River Dental in Deep River, Ontario, seeks a Registered Dental Assistant to join our patient-centered team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists, take digital X-rays, and maintain infection control per IPAC standards.

This replacement position offers competitive wages ($27–$32/hour, depending on skills), direct billing with insurers, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for professional growth in a welcoming, family-oriented practice.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Licensed as a Dental Assistant with provincial regulatory body.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
• Ability to take dental X-rays and maintain IPAC standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments and ensure patient comfort.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control per IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide oral hygiene education.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships with professional conduct.

Schedule:

Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $27-$32/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

About You:

• Registered and/or Licensed as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
