Job summary

Dawson Dental Centre North Bay is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join a dedicated team delivering Orthodontic, Endodontic, Sleep and Sedation Dentistry and Kids Dentistry. You will play a vital role in patient care, ensuring comfort and smooth clinical flow.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, assisting dentists and hygienists, taking X-rays, maintaining IPAC standards, updating patient charts, and supporting scheduling and administrative tasks in a busy, patient-centered

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

Dawson Dental Centre North Bay is located minutes off Trans-Canada highway 17 on Algonquin Avenue and is accessible from Elmwood Avenue and Greenwood Avenue.

Schedule:

Monday - Thursday: 8:00-5:00pm

Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm

The wage for this DentalAssistantposition is$29-$31/hourdepending on skills, experience, and location.
