- The candidate must prepare patients for dental examinations.
- The candidate must prepare plaster models and moulds.
- The candidate must supervise dental assistants in their health-care functions.
- The candidate must train other dental laboratory assistants.
- The candidate must order dental and office supplies.
- The candidate must perform administrative duties for the dental laboratory.
- The candidate must prepare dental instruments and filling materials.
- The candidate must maintain and order supplies.
- The candidate must perform reception and clerical duties.
- The candidate must sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment.
- The candidate must educate patients about oral hygiene.
- The candidate must complete the metal framework of dentures.
- The candidate must polish teeth and clinical crowns, as well as apply fluoride and sealant.
- The candidate will be responsible for packing plastic material into moulds to form full or partial dentures.
- The candidate must perform intra-oral duties.
- The candidate will be responsible for making orthodontic bands out of metal and alloys.
- The candidate must document dental procedures performed on patients.
- The candidate will be responsible for billing patients for dental services.
- The candidate must polish and buff dentures.
- The candidate will be responsible for fabricating and placing temporary crowns and restorations.
- The candidate must take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate or diploma in other trades, or equivalent experience.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.

Technical expertise (dental)
- The candidate must be skilled in plastering, packing, waxing-up, polishing, and assembly.
