Shifts: 8:00-4:00, 8:30-4:30, 9:00-5:00

Job Summary

The Dental Clinic is designed to meet the needs of Princess Margaret Cancer Centre's special patient population who face barriers in accessing dental care in private offices.

Duties

  • As a member of the department of Dentistry, the responsibilities of the Preventative Dental Assistant include:
  • Preparation of work area for dentist and patient flow
  • Ensuring room, equipment and supply cleanliness
  • Under the orders, supervision and guidance of the supervising dentist, performing simple dental procedures within scope of practice
  • Performing reception responsibilities and confirming patient booking information; monitoring in-room inventory for operatories
  • Performing cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested
  • Working in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, reporting hazards, deficiencies and contraventions of the Act in a timely manner.
