Job summary

Lac La Ronge Indian Band Schools seek a self-motivated Dental Assistant to support the Dental Therapy Program for children.

You will prepare and assist the Dental Therapist/ Dentist during procedures, provide fluoride treatments, and promote dental health education within the community.

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential to build trust with families and support school-based dental care initiatives in Saskatchewan.

Qualifications

• Certified in Dental Assisting and registered (or eligible for registration) with the Saskatchewan Dental Assistants' Association.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Intermediate computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and public relations skills.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and willingness to travel when required.
• Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset.
• Ability to speak Cree is an asset.
