Job summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic Regina Campus invites applications for an Instructor-Dental Aide-Continuing Education (DENT-101 Oral Embryology, Histology, & Anatomy). The role supports course delivery, labs, and student assessment in a contract arrangement.

The successful candidate will check course content, prepare labs (April 12–23, 2027), communicate with students, mark work, and finalize grades, with preference for current Sask Polytech faculty.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Level II Dental Assisting Program.
• Current license to practice Dental Assisting in Saskatchewan.
• Minimum 2 years recent dental assisting experience (last 5 years).
• Experience teaching dental assisting or in a clinical setting.
• Ability to apply adult education principles to learners.
• Preference for current Saskatchewan Polytechnic faculty.
• Demonstrates valuing diversity.

Responsibilities

• Check course links and content before the start of the course and update resources as needed.
• Communicate with students regularly, mark assignments, monitor progress, and provide feedback.
• Manage and review exam submissions and finalize official grades.
• Create lab day outlines, prepare rooms and supplies, teach and demonstrate skills.
• Submit required paperwork to Continuing Education.
