Please note: This position is for a new restaurant opening in West Edmonton. While the exact location will be announced soon, successful candidates will complete a 4–6 week paid training program at Pyro in Sherwood Park prior to the opening.

Compensation: $17-$18 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and model our vision and goals, ensuring every dish is a masterpiece.
  • Collaborate with the Chef De Partie and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare dishes with flair, ensuring they are visually appealing and delicious.
  • Maintain high standards of food freshness, taste, and safety.
  • Mentor and train junior kitchen staff, passing on culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Coordinate effectively with all departments to ensure kitchen harmony.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role.
  • Experience in high-volume restaurant settings.
  • Proficiency in various cooking techniques and food preparation principles.
  • Appreciation for diverse cuisines.
  • Strong attention to detail in food presentation and quality.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining quality standards.
  • Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
  • Mathematical skills for inventory and cost management.

Minimum Experience: At least 6 months of hands-on kitchen experience.
