Job summary

Nestlé Canada in North York, ON seeks a Demand Planner on a 12-month contract to transform data into insights across the supply chain. You will partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to create accurate forecasts and optimize inventory to ensure product availability for consumers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in demand planning, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, economics, engineering, or math.
  • 5+ years in demand planning, forecasting, or analytics.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau for reporting.
  • Strong ability to influence stakeholders across functions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain demand forecasts using historical data and market insights.
  • Analyze forecast performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to align plans.
  • Provide data-driven scenarios to support S&OP decisions.
  • Use analytics tools to uncover trends and present risks.
  • Lead continuous improvement to forecasting and digital adoption.

As a Demand Planner (12-month contract), you will transform data into business insights that help drive smarter decisions across the supply chain. You will partner with cross-functional teams to create accurate forecasts, optimize inventory, and ensure products are available when and where consumers need them. A day in the life:
  • Build and maintain demand forecasts by combining historical trends, business insights, and market intelligence to support business goals.
  • Analyze forecast performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend actions that enhance forecasting accuracy and planning effectiveness.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to incorporate promotions, new product launches, and customer insights into demand plans.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations and scenarios that support Sales & Operations Planning and key business decision-making processes.
  • Leverage analytics and reporting tools to uncover trends, communicate risks and opportunities, and deliver insights to stakeholders.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen forecasting capabilities, planning processes, and digital adoption.
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain, analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships, influence stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience using demand planning or forecasting solutions such as SAP IBP, OMP, APO, SAS, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning, inventory optimization, and end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced consumer goods, retail, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
