Job summary

Nestlé Canada is seeking a Demand Planner (12-month contract) to transform data into actionable insights that optimize inventory and ensure product availability. You will partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to incorporate promotions, launches, and customer insights into demand plans.

The role requires a strong data-driven mindset, 5+ years in planning/analytics, and experience with Power BI or Tableau. Hybrid work arrangements and a competitive CAD salary are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain analytics, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate insights into actions.
  • Experience with reporting/visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across levels.

What to Expect:

As a Demand Planner (12-month contract), you will transform data into business insights that help drive smarter decisions across the supply chain. You will partner with cross-functional teams to create accurate forecasts, optimize inventory, and ensure products are available when and where consumers need them. A day in the life:
  • Build and maintain demand forecasts by combining historical trends, business insights, and market intelligence to support business goals.
  • Analyze forecast performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend actions that enhance forecasting accuracy and planning effectiveness.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to incorporate promotions, new product launches, and customer insights into demand plans.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations and scenarios that support Sales & Operations Planning and key business decision-making processes.
  • Leverage analytics and reporting tools to uncover trends, communicate risks and opportunities, and deliver insights to stakeholders.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen forecasting capabilities, planning processes, and digital adoption.
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain, analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships, influence stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience using demand planning or forecasting solutions such as SAP IBP, OMP, APO, SAS, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning, inventory optimization, and end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced consumer goods, retail, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.

Compensation Range: $85,000-$95,000 CAD
