Job summary

RONA is hiring for a forklift operator to support delivery operations in our Penticton location. The role involves loading and unloading goods, preparing orders for delivery, and maintaining forklift safety checks.

Ideal candidates will have forklift/ reach truck certification, experience in shipping and loading, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Training and a collaborative team environment are offered as part of our community-focused program.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of wood types, grades, and seasonal products.
• Will ingness to obtain Forklift/Reach Truck Operator Certificate.
• Prior shipping, receiving, and loading experience is an asset.
• Excellent ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load/unload vehicles and prepare loads for delivery.
• Prepare orders for delivery including locating and securing material.
• Perform routine maintenance and complete forklift inspection sheets daily.
• Follow safety policies and store procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Support other store delivery operations as needed.
